Here’s our adorable new furry family member. His name is Griffith and he’s 2 years old and 8 months.
It’s been six months since our last cat Pud had crossed the rainbow bridge and I’m not going to lie, I’ve missed him terribly. There isn’t a day that goes by without thinking – or talking to – Pud.
However, Griffith is now in our life and we hope that he settles comfortably with us.
Andrew had been looking online at a Pet Rescue organisation and had noticed Griffith’s profile over the last few months. Sadly, Griffith was advertised seven times with no interest for adoption because he’s not a kitten. He also spent the first year of his life in a pound and has been going from one foster family to the next. When we saw his profile, we wanted to give him his forever home and show him some stability and security.
He came home with us from the foster carer yesterday afternoon and he spent a little while under the couch. After being fed, he moved around the room exploring all nooks and crannies but didn’t seem too stressed. We even opened up the doors so that he could move into all rooms of the house and for hours he spent wandering in each of them and having a good look around.
Today, there was much of the same. I left him to his own devices and gave him a head and chin rub which he likes. He loves doors and looking out our large windows and likes to climb.
I’m looking forward to learning more about his personality but it looks like he won’t have an issue settling in with us.
Welcome home Griffith!
