A recent book review I uploaded (thanks to a recommendation by my friend Fiona who I have some back and forth conversations about AI), was Benjamin Labatut’s The Maniac.
I think it’ll be one of the best books I’ll read this year as it’s about how man wants to understand – and overcome – nature.
The book is written in different ways but the link of the stories are all about geniuses who try to make these super computers. There’s a lot more to it and it certainly makes you think about where we are heading as a society when these geniuses create technology that can replace human endeavours. You start to think 🤔 well, what’s the point of doing anything anymore if a machine can make your art, read you your book, write for you, win chess or Go games…. It’s just making us all useless or at least, “Prompt Prompters” as I mentioned to F.
