Our cat Pud has had a difficult time since May. He’s been one sick little cat but we are trying to get his health issues sorted so he can have a comfortable life as long as possible.
Yesterday the vet tells us that they may have got the original diagnosis of megacolon wrong when an enlarged tumor was found near his rear.
The news took us by surprise (there were tears) and in all honesty, I was annoyed that it hadn’t been picked up earlier when we could have done something about it. Instead, everyone focused on his bowel – and not the tumor – that was growing and obstructing his colon.
He’s now at home with us again but he goes back to the animal hospital Monday morning for CT scans and for specialists to determine next steps. We have our fingers crossed they can operate and remove this tumor so we can have him with us for many years yet.
Regardless of what happens, he’s going to get the best care so that he has the best quality of life, whatever is said. This last week has been crazy with my emotions for our fur baby.

Thank you. We need to keep positive. We will know more Monday. 🙏🤞

Thank you. Unfortunately, the CT scans revealed that his tumour which is aggressively growing and pushing onto his pelvis and colon, is also on his lymph nodes and in his lungs. There’s nothing else we can do now.
He’s at home now for the next day where he gets all the cuddles, pats and strokes, all the treats he wants and stopped his medication except for pain relief. We will put him down tomorrow which is the only thing we can do as he’s deteriorated a lot and he’s in pain. He’s brought so much love, joy and laughs in our lives.
