I love to visit second hand book stores so naturally, I went to Savers and saw these wonderful books. Someone was obviously clearing out their Julian Barnes collection so I bought the entire lot for $2 each. BARGAIN.
I’m slowly getting rid of some books that simply don’t do anything for me but unfortunately, I replace them with more.
I’m thinking that maybe in 2025, I simply don’t visit any library again – focusing only on the books I have on my shelves.
If I read on average about 80 books a year, maybe just maybe, over the course of a few years, I’ll be able to read everything on my shelves. Luckily, there’s a lot that I do read. I’m not one to just buy a book then have it on my shelves for many years (Catch-22 by Joseph Heller excepting). Let’s see how I go. It might be near impossible to stop going to a library because I find so much pleasure from it.
Besides, the librarians would miss me.
