While my family members have Covid this week, it meant the day was quiet as it was spent at home.
Today I submitted a short story for the Booroondara Short Story Competition. It’s a story about a homeless man which I made up on the spot as a conversation between two rich young girls who are living in one Melbourne’s richest suburb. I’ve no idea how I came up with the idea. I just started writing and it came out like that.
Then later today I made some chocolate mousse. It only has three ingredients: maple syrup, chocolate and….tofu. It’s delicious.
Finally, I finished knitting my cardigan with the yarn Andrew bought me for our 18th anniversary. It took months to knit because the yarn was fine but I’m so happy with how it turned out. A delicate cardigan perfect for summer.
I’ve started reading a new book too. Niki Savva’s Road to Ruin spills the beans behind the horror years of Tony Abbott’s government. Reading about his relationship with his Chief of Staff, Peta Credlin just reads like a narcissistic co-dependent relationship. It’s eye opening.
Other than that, nothing much. A quiet Sunday with a week ahead that promises of more golf, French and hopefully, no COVID.
