My French 🇫🇷 classes started again today. I always enjoy the classes at My French Journey in Hampton because Nathalie makes them so interesting. The term goes over ten weeks and our teacher also organises various events such as Sunday walks, book clubs and even international trips away. This year some lucky few will spend time in Corsica. One day, I hope to also go on one of these international French speaking jaunts.
At our weekly classes, we have a small group of usually four or five people and today, one of the students had been to France over the break and brought us all back these products.
You may know them?
There’s a selection of Edmond Fallot mustards, St Michel crackers (which I opened as soon as I got home and tasted. They are delicious!) and a little pot of Camargue salt which they tell me is quite nice. I’m looking forward to sprinkling it on our meal tonight (slow cooked Chicken Paprika with Hungarian Noodles).
I’m looking forward to the events this term. In particular, the Musée Carnavalet in Paris has done a deal with the Bendigo Art Gallery to display some of the French Impressionist Art. We will have a day trip (like a school excursion!) on the train to Bendigo (about 1.5-2 hours) to see it. Naturally, I’m not missing that!
I don’t get to travel often. I haven’t been overseas in ages so Paris or Bendigo, I don’t care. I’m going! 🤣

Makes me feel kind of guilty that I am hoping to “nip over there” in a few weeks…

Ha ha! That’s the beauty of where you live. You have the entire Europe at your fingertips!! 🤣 In all honesty, we can travel anywhere around Australia but as things have gotten so ludicrously expensive we are waiting it out for a few years yet to have a decent trip over there.

Lots to keep you going in Australia.
