On Saturday night, Andrew and I went to a local theatre group to see a performance of this play based on a book called The Lifespan of a Fact.
We hadn’t been to amateur theatre in many years and we do have some local groups in the area. I had seen this as advertised in a newsletter and I booked a couple of tickets.
After a day out at Mulberry Hill homestead at a writing workshop, I rushed back home to have something to eat, shower and change and then head out to the play.
The play is about an intern being given the task to fact check an essay submitted to his magazine company by an old and bold writer. His magazine editor is stuck in the middle wanting to publish the piece to prop up the failing magazine but the intern holds firm querying every single thing the writer wrote.
It was a great performance by the three actors and we even had a lovely chat with the young actor who played the intern. It was his debut performance.
An enjoyable evening.
