A few days ago I reached 3000 subscribers on my YouTube channel. All without using social media to promote it, creating Shorts or using AI for any of it.
It’ll be interesting to see where it goes. I don’t think it’ll explode in growth (I don’t want it to) but I think it’ll peter out in some way to a point where the people who do are the ones who value more of the community aspect. Already some of them have asked for partner reads in books and they’ve given me an awesome list of international authors to read. In effect, the community is helping me learn and broaden my own perspectives. I don’t need to push people, ask them to subscribe, like or follow.
In fact, I want to do YouTube differently. Something more authentic, real, fun.
Let’s see where it goes.
