Is this a thing now?
Selling prompts for ChatGPT?
Spare me. 😒
There has to be something bizarre when people spend more time refining their questions and asking a machine that trawls through all the sites online some genuine, some not and full of crap…and then pull them together and make them into more products to sell.
Are people actually creating anything with their own hands, hearts and minds anymore?
What about imagination and inspiration, curiosity, exploration – are they a thing of the past too?
Are we that devoid of inspiration around the things we see, experience, read that we need to be “prompted”, “jolted” “pushed”, “prodded” by a chatbot of all things.
Why not use human emotions or intuition to do these?
It’s worked in the past. It’ll always work in the future too.
We just need to hone it and trust it to give us the motivation and inspiration we need. The more we rely on these artificially generated prompts to create our body of work, I believe we lose something of ourselves: something magical that happens in rhetorical creative process.
I can’t imagine someone asking a writer, “how were you inspired to write your story?” and then them saying it was a ChatGPT prompt.
How incredibly sad for humanity when we don’t value our own ability to create and need artificial prompts to build and create something that was not of our own heart and mind.
