I wake up this morning to the news that Zuckerberg has about 30 million followers on his new app called Threads.
Remarkably similar to Twitter, it wasn’t surprising he’d copy this app. After all, he did it with Snapchat to create Facebook Stories. If you have an Instagram account, all your followers move over instantly. However if you want to delete Threads, you’ll delete Instagram as well.
Ha! How’s that for underhanded and sneaky business?
Once you’re in, you’re entrenched.
30 million suckers.
(It’s banned in the EU for breaching privacy regulations. Alarm bells?)
Well anyway I just groaned and turned over in bed.
A good friend of mine sends snippets of the insanity over on Twitter and I can’t help but think “why are people scrambling?”
Why are they jumping from one platform to the next?
I can’t believe that two men, Musk and Zuck can create so much mayhem – waste time – in people’s lives over a freaking social media platform.
We have already wasted our lives on these platforms then they include us in their dramas. Why aren’t people GETTING OFF THEM?
Are we that seriously worried about our accounts and whether we’d get back our numbers of followers?
Spare me.
Bloody hell. The world has gone mad. Seriously mad.
I can’t believe this stuff makes news.
