I’ve gone on a yarn stash bender. That is trying to use up as much of my yarn that I have hidden in cupboards and under beds. I’ve uploaded about 10 different beanies I made this year onto Ravelry but that’s only half of them.
Beanies are a great way to use up yarn but also practice my colour work. I used various designs from knitting books I borrowed from the library and I knit these up in a couple of days while watching YouTube videos (of knitting) or Netflix.
I took these photos today (Andrew photobombed some of them) while wearing my crocheted blue sparkly jumper that was also an experiment. I’m trying to learn to crochet too and I creates this slouchy bottom up V-neck jumper with the lightest acrylic yarn (the jumper is very light and airy and I love to wear it). It’s a great top for that casual look with a pair of jeans.
Beanie making is an addictive endeavour but it gives me such pleasure. I love giving away beanies as gifts to people as much as I love knitting them.
Time to knit and crochet some more.
