It’s Tuesday CD night and tonight it’s the Burt Bacharach Collection.
But you probably want to know why my husband is knitting.
Well he was roped into it by his team at work. One of his team members is retiring and the whole section decided to knit her a blanket. Made of knitted squares of different colours, each member must learn to knit and knit up a square.
What an awesome idea!
Of course, Andrew thought he was exempt however he had to do it too.
So on Sunday night, I taught him “the skill” and he picked it up quickly. (Probably because he’s seen me knitting all these years).
It’s amusing to watch him knit and mumble under his breath about his tension or dropped stitches. I am impressed however, he goes back and fixes his mistakes. He’s also picked up the speed.
I joked that he may want to knit a beanie or a scarf next but he assures me that it’ll be one square. And one square only. 🤣
Oh well. I think it’s a positive thing. One extra person in this world who has learned this wonderful craft.
