This is what happens sometimes when you knit in public. Just watch what some commuters do.

For me, I’ve had a couple take photos, others start conversations with me. Kids always ask their mums what I’m doing.

Most just continue to look down at their phones.

These shorts came up in my YouTube feed and I had a chuckle.

But then some people are really impressed. Bravo, they say.

Meanwhile kids are fascinated.

My thoughts?

If you see something out of the ordinary on a commute where people aren’t just staring into their phones (which many do), then do something.

Smile.

Comment.

Ask a question.

Complement.

Share a story.

Ask for a story.

Just – have – a – conversation.
