I thought it best to tackle this book, Tolstoy’s War & Peace this year for a bit of a challenge.
I love watching the Hardcore Literature channel and Benjamin shared his 2023 Book Club books. It’s part of his online book club (which I’m not a member but would love to but don’t have the guts after seeing the types of books they tackle).
Russian literature is on for the dark winter months of the new year (although here it will be blistering hot and humid but nevertheless)…
It’s a HUGE book. Everyone raves about it. Time to learn what the fuss is about. If it’s not like Umberto Eco’s The Name of the Rose (which just about killed me), then we are off to a good start.
Let’s see how I go. Russian literature freaks me out but if I can get through War and Peace, I’ll get through anything.
