I’ve been knitting a cabled hoodie vest by KD Design for a while. I’ve written about it here.

There’s a few firsts for this project. It’s the first time that:
- I used yellow tweed yarn
- I did an I-cord bind off
- I knitted a hood
- I knitted cables
- I did a three needle bind off

For some reason, despite loving the feel of this yarn from the Bendigo Wool Mills, the pattern I found slow and cumbersome because I’m not as quick with cables. Also the I cord bind off must have been done incorrectly because the cord seemed to be on the wrong side of the work! I hand to hand sew it in place to have the cord on the right side!
Anyway it’s done. Now it just needs to be blocked and I can wear it. My first garment I’ll wear that is yellow. 🤣

Is it going to upset you if I said that my Granny used to knit me jumpers like that when I was little?
Not at all. 🤣 I think that’s lovely!
