This morning I had quiet one. I didn’t go for a walk but instead crocheted for a few hours as I learn some skills (crochet flowers on a colourful top I’m learning how to do from a Spanish YouTuber who speaks no English. Half the time it’s a guessing game). Nevertheless it was a serene start to the day.
Afterwards I had booked for a one hour facial at Endota Spa. I have three vouchers all from before Covid lockdowns that need to be used so given the tradespeople weren’t working on our back yard today, it was the perfect opportunity.
I decided to wear the pink crochet top (above) that was a pattern once again learned from that Spanish YouTuber whose patterns I love. I think if I understood Spanish it would be another matter although if I get stuck, I usually show my father who is fluent in the language or ask my friend who lives in Barcelona.
Afterwards, I came home and spent the afternoon crafting. I had a couple of sewing up projects to finish the knits. The first one I knitted up an I-cord and sewed around the neck line of a glittery crochet top which was all my design. I made it up as I went along and happy with how it looks. It’ll be my summer evening too now.
I also sewed up my yellow sleeveless cable knit vest and cast on for the hood. (I think I’m going to run out of yarn!). Pud decided to join me. He always needs to sit near me – and he likes sitting on the dining chair like one of us. He always needs to be part of what’s going on.
So now I have a roast chicken and potatoes in the oven and the house is smelling delicious. I’m going to try something different with the potatoes and drizzle them with olive oil, crumbled feta and origano and make them as crispy as possible.
I’m getting hungry.
Work is a distant memory. In fact, I haven’t even thought about it at all. I don’t miss it although it worries me sometimes that I can’t even fathom the idea of it. It’s as if I’ve lost complete confidence in my own abilities. 🤔
