I’m a mad reader and currently onto about my 55th (?) book this year which has focussed on reading authors who come from a non-English speaking background. I’ve read some interesting ones which are all sitting on my YouTube channel. Here’s a few that have been uploaded in the last week or so. There are more coming. I have a backlog on Schedule that come out every week.
I don’t force people to subscribe or comment or follow any of these. It’s neither here nor there for me. I do like it when people leave comments where they share their own recommendations because they’re building out my reading list.
We Had to Remove this Post by Anna Bervoets
A novel about a character who works for one of the big platforms and who has to watch awful things online in order to moderate them. How much does watching this stuff change you? You think it doesn’t but it does.
The Latecomer by Dimitri Verhulst
Another Dutch author and this book was hilarious. A guy pretends to have dementia so he can get some peace and quiet from his family and the world.
God Bless You Dr Kevorkian
One of Kurt Vonnegut’s last books about his interviews at the pearly gates with world famous people to get their take on life…and death.
