It’s a quiet lazy Tuesday night.
Cat is dozing on the sofa.
Television is turned off.
Lights turned low.
CD is chosen.
Press Open in the CD player.
Insert CD.
Watch it go into the player.
Listen to the whir while it finds the first track.
Music 🎶 flows out of the sound bar.
We settle down, listen and then let the music make our minds wander and tap our feet to the beat.
Tonight it’s Billy Bragg’s Internationale recorded in 1990 of lefty protest songs that are tinged with love and the life of workers.
My favourite is this one. 👇
Turn it up loud, turn the lights down, and chill.
Where would we be without music in our life?
