Yesterday we had our Learning Day at the company I work for, Adopt & Embrace.
We value personal and professional learning and as such we dedicate four full days every year to this. We can set aside our work and our client work (if not urgent), to focus on all aspects of our mandatory compliance, role based or interest learning.
We each have learning plans in accordance to our specific roles and of course, there are courses that we need to do to ensure that we remain compliant as a Microsoft partner and included in this are formal accreditations with Microsoft products and services. However, we also include any learning and development that is also important to our role for example, as a Community Manager, I need to know some additional systems that I use as well as things that will help me improve in the role or help the community I serve.
Yesterday I decided to take some video footage (I’ve now gone off Instagram Stories and instead create the daily videos from scratch – and they are now in landscape!!) about how I go through my Learning Day.
In this video, I talk about:
- What is Learning Day
- How I use Microsoft Planner to create the learning tasks that go into my Personal Learning Plan
- What resources I will use today and why I’m learning the things I’m doing.
I hope you enjoy the video.
