Here are this month’s snap stories of personal learning for March 2019.
Every week and every month, I like to review these videos to see what I have been doing every day. It’s a great way to capture all my work and learning – and also to see progress towards my goals.
Every month I allocate an hour to review these daily videos I take on Snapchat and share these here on my blog. I use these videos as an online portfolio of my work – an online CV if you will.
Many of these are not shared across other social networks unless there’s something specific to that particular social media community I’d like to share. In effect, these are my own “sharing of my work out loud” videos and not for the purposes of marketing but rather of personal and professional development.
No specific details about any client work are shown here without their permission. If you would like to know further information about anything I mention in these videos, contact me.
It’s been a bit of a quiet month where I have been sharing more fun stuff than work related snaps because I’ve been busier than usual catching up with client work so little opportunity to snap while working….

Today I meet up with a good friend of mine whom I hadn’t seen in a while. She’s in the field of learning and development but exploring ways to use what she knows for a different field. Chatting with her I was inspired with new ideas and she gave me an idea about story telling in business which harboured the need for me to really expand my networks to not only outside my field, but my culture as well.

Today I read some journal articles on how comic books can be used in decision making and it sends me down a rabbit warren where I draw my typical day in comic book format. I have a revelation that it’s exactly what I’ve been doing on Snapchat Stories which use the same principles.

Today I try and figure out how to do event registrations for webinars but using only Microsoft products and services. I find out about MS Booking and Power Apps and also how to use lists within SharePoint to be able to do this. However, seems convoluted – it may just be easier to use a site like EventBrite…

Today is the Hour of Power – an hour where our colleagues take the reins and teach us something new. I share how we do this. I also talk about completing a Microsoft Mooc and find out that I’m an ENFJ for Myers Briggs – although I don’t care much for that pseudo psych quackery.
