Here are this week’s snap stories of personal learning commencing 28 August 2017.
Monday 28 August 2017
I started the week out with experimenting with my remote clicker. I was pulling together some of the equipment that I was going to take with me to the conference later this week and wanted to experiment with a new clicker. It turned out to be useless (serves me right for buying cheap crap off eBay).

Today I sent out a few packets of Tim Tams to someone I follow and met on Snapchat. Bill works in Washington Maryland and shares his snap stories of the work he does there selling plates and cutlery to various hotels and restaurants in the area. He had heard of Tim Tams and enquired about them so I thought I’d send a pack over to the US with some clear instructions on the right way to eat them. The package did arrive safely so I hope they enjoyed the chocolate biscuits! In this snap story I work out loud through the process of how I created the Snapchat as a Learning tool to the Vocational Educators. I was invited to present an hour session to the educators at their National and Teaching Conference in Torquay. I showed the equipment that I was going to carry there too.

Today I talked about the first LinkedIn video that I created which was all about how to handle LinkedIn invitations. I also show how I did this and why I chose this particular topic as the first or pilot video (which has since gone up over 2500 views?). In this story, I also talk about the process of my writing the Snapchat book and how I’m trying to figure out how to publish it.

Today I walked and talked in the park on Snapchat and showed people around my local park. I am continuing to edit my Snapchat book and share more about it in this snap story.

Today I attend the Education Show at the Melbourne Exhibition and Convention Centre. What really stood out for me here was the new Melbourne experience where you get to experience life in the dark as a blind person. I managed to get a free ticket to try this experience out so I’ll be doing this one day soon and snapping about it. The education show was catered for primary and secondary educators however, I managed to get a great goody bag filled with lots of pens and other goodies so all was not lost!
