Here are this week’s snap stories of personal learning commencing 18 September 2017.

Today while waiting for a family member to have a day operation in hospital, I decided to work out from the hospital cafe to prevent me driving back and forth from home. On the hospital walls, they had these posters about the research projects the hospital staff are undertaking and read with interest of one project looking at the new competencies of pharmacy staff to keep up with changes and to be cross specialised into new subjects. I wasn’t exactly sold on the solution they offered because it was another typical new competency framework that didn’t mention many soft skills but was very technically focussed.
Later that week, I had a short mini break up to Ned Kelly country of Beechworth and alpine country at Bright. I needed to get out of the house for a while and vary my routine as well as think about what my goals will be for 2018. Do I continue with freelancing (which I’ve had a mixed result), go back to full-time work or change career entirely. Failing that, I may just become an Uber driver.

I joined a book club at my local library so today I share a review about the novel we are reading called An Isolated Incident by Emily Maguire. I’m not too chuffed on it.
