Here are this week’s snap stories of personal learning commencing 14 August 2017.

It was a relatively quiet week this week where I just took time to rest and relax. I do have my days where I cannot face the computer or write out blogs, create vlogs or do much at all as a way to recharge my mind and my heart – let’s face it – trying to find work and drum up new business every time is a bit of a slog so I need some time out to recharge.
On Wednesday I attended the Melbourne Learning and Development Unconference. I wrote about my thoughts and reflections of the conference in the blog post Changing the Learning and Development DNA but here’s the video footage.

Today was a lot of fun. My friend Mary and I took a trip into Melbourne for some location scouting for a film shoot. Our idea is to create short films around historical places of significance and share stories that people might not know about them. We stumbled on the Athenaeum Library, Melbourne’s oldest library that has been in operation for 170 years and saw that it had one of those old oak panelled elevators installed in the 1930s so our idea is to look at how we can create a short film about the elevator and the people who rode in it to go to this wonderful library. You can read more about this story in my blog post The Mechanics Institute.
