This Week’s Snap Stories on Personal Learning Week of 6 March 2017

March 2017

This week I continue to use Snapchat as my video editor to vlog some of my snap stories on personal learning.  This week it’s been about automation, consulting books and writing eBooks!

I have been using this time to work on my own Personal Learning Plan which involves a lot more book reading, exploring the new topic of Blockchain and connecting with people outside my field in new social networks.  Also, I have used this downtime to write a book on “How to Show & Share Your Expertise on Snapchat”.   I am close to finishing this and hope to have it ready for publishing on the Amazon Kindle publishing platform next month (fingers crossed – only two more chapters to go)….

As a result, I’ve not published blog posts instead, I’ve been taking my own private notes and talking to people behind-the-scenes.  I’ve used this time as a way to revert back to my introverted self (well, if you can believe the picture here) and control the amount of details of the experiences I share during this time for fear of it coming across as complaining, frustrated or angry.  Trust me, I do have days when I love a bit of a whinge.

So here are my vlogs for this week…

Monday Meanderings Monday 6 March 2017

Today I shared my thoughts on an article I read that 43% of jobs will be automated in the coming years and what you can do to make sure that you stay ahead in your career by building a digital portfolio of your work and learning.

Tuesday Book Club Tuesday 7 March 2017

One of the best books I have in my reference library is the book called Million Dollar Consulting by Alan Weiss.  In today’s snapstory I share why I think this book is a great help for anyone considering the life of a freelance/independent consultant.

Wednesday Work Out Loud 8 March 2017

In this snap story I share how I have written the book on Snapchat and seek advice on how to publish a book on Amazon.  If you’ve published an eBook on the Amazon Kindle Publishing platform, I’ve love to learn about your experiences. (Later:  I had lots of different conversations with people on Snapchat who gave me some great advice – thank you!)

Of course, I accidentally deleted it off my phone and therefore didn’t save it.  Nevertheless, I will do another snapstory soon to cover the progress of this book!
