This Week’s Snap Stories of Personal Learning Week of 29 May 2017

June 2017

Here is a rundown of this week’s snap stories of Personal Learning Week of 29 May 2017.

Monday 29 May 2017

On this day, I talk about how I like to play with the various Snapchat filters as well as talk about the Vincent Van Gough exhibition I attended over the weekend.  I surmise that Van Gough wasn’t really mad – he was just frustrated and creative. Okay, maybe a little syphillitic too.

Tuesday 30 May 2017

Today I talk about how I pitched an idea to my boss to deliver a guided social learning program on Curation Skills to be delivered to our own learning team.  I also talk about a new MOOC that I will be starting called “Why We Post” by FutureLearn and a new site called Degreed.

Wednesday 31 May 2017

I talk about the artwork that is hanging on the walls in HR which is by Clem Millward, an Australian artist.  I share an outline of the new curation course I’m building and talk about my first session and how that went…

Thursday 01 June 2017

On this day I talk about how I’m going to customise my guided social learning program and recustomise it into a stand alone workshop and webinar to run under Activate Learning Solutions.  I talk about how difficult it is to sell learning with corporates.  Another surprise is that I met someone in our field who doesn’t use any social media and wondered about the pros and cons of that.

Friday 2 June 2017

In this video, I share some tips on working with corporate clients – some things you need to be mindful of.
