Today was our Charity Day at the Golf Course. I couldn’t stay for the entire event and instead helped out directing teams of players to different holes.
Being out here at 8am for a shotgun start, this was my view for the next four hours. Sunshine, birdsong and watching people play their shots on Holes 7 and 13 which are close to each other and learning where they’ve come from. As guests, everyone was happy and smiling. And why not? What a glorious day to play a round.
Afterwards in the club house, lunch was served and prizes awarded. There was a book, plant and cake stand as well as some great prizes of hampers, paintings, hotel accomodation, wines and more.
I took a week off playing golf this week because I just wanted to take it easy. I’ve been having some niggling health issues I needed to sort out (not serious) but come next week, I’ll be back out there.
